Rainstorms

The rainstorms we've been having lately have been bringing back some not so pleasant memories. Almost exactly 3 years ago, while we were living in Baltimore, there were a bunch of heavy, Summer rainstorms. We lived on the top floor (6th floor) and the genius architects built the complex with a flat roof and a VERY poor draining system. One night, as Tim and I are trying to fall asleep, we notice our pillows are wet. We turn on the lights, look up, and this is what we find:

Awesome. We told the owners of the complex and we were informed that the problem would be fixed right away. We were relieved. We didn't want the roof coming down on us. The guy came to "fix" it, and by that we mean he painted over the water stains and called it good. After that, we then uderstood all the different shades of white paint that were on the ceiling and walls in exactly the same locations as the water stains. I don't think the paint has quite solved the problem. Whatever. Atleast I'm not living there anymore and I'm in a home that is, so far, leak free.

Oh yeah! And didn't you guys have lots of bugs too or was that someone else? At least the storms here aren't quite so humid!

That was quite a summer! You had your leaks and bugs...and we had our frozen wall. What an awesome complex!

We should talk soon to catch up...
